On PC: "Component 'COMDLG32.OCX' or one of its dependencies is not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when I try run the Windows PC Companion.

4. When I try to convert .WMA to .MP3/.WAV, it tells me "The format is invalid!".

This is because your WMA files are encoded by Microsoft Windows Media Player with the options "Enable Personal Rights Management" on.

If you could re-encode those WMA files with the options "Enable Personal Rights Management" off, please re-encode it, it would be OK. Turn the check of "Enable Personal Rights Management" off from "Windows Media Player -> Tools -> Options ... -> CD Audio".

If you could not re-encode it, you should do as to the following directions,
1, Look for a player software that could play your WMA files.
2, Download a recorder software from http://www.sound-recorder.com/.
3, Install the recorder software and the player software on your computer.
4, Launch the player software and the recorder software.
5, Play the WMA files with the player software.
6, Press the record button on the recorder software to record sound through sound card into MP3/WAV when the WMA file is being played.
7, When the WMA file is played over, you will get the whole MP3/WAV file.

5. How to convert special audio like "real audio" to popular audio formats such as WAV or MP3?

Suggest you download a recorder software such as "audio record wizard" from http://www.sound-recorder.com/ and install it on your computer.

Play your Real Audio or any other audio with a player software such as WinAMP or Windows Media Player.

When the audio is being played, launch the recorder software to record the audio streaming into WAV or MP3 format.
